Central Alaska, March 2022
Hello and welcome!
I am a climate scientist and paleoclimatologist researching how past climate and environmental changes impacted carbon storage and cycling in Arctic environments. These environments store carbon that is vulnerable to climate change. My research uses a variety of biogeochemical approaches, together with radiocarbon, to understand how and when changes in carbon cycling occurred over the last ~15,000 years.
I am currently a Research Associate in the School of Earth and Sustainability at Northern Arizona University, and manage the Sedimentary Records of Environmental Change Lab and the Amino Acid Geochronology Lab. I also collaborate closely with the Arizona Climate and Ecosystems Isotope Lab.
I received my PhD in Earth Science from Northern Arizona University in 2025 and my BSc in Geology and Environmental Science from The College of William and Mary in 2019.
When I'm not doing science, I love spending time outside hiking and cross country skiing, or cozy inside with a cup of tea, good book and my knitting!
